Does anyone else do a little jump when the Anthropologie birthday card comes in the mail? If you haven’t heard, Anthropologie sends a birthday card via snail mail and offers a 15% coupon off an entire purchase during your birthday month! I’ve always loved Anthropologie but some of their items can be incredibly pricey. After scowering the website the night before our trip to Memphis, I found several pieces that were reasonably priced and kept screenshots on my phone to make sure I at least tried on the items.
Devon Popover Top in Red Motif
This red gingham popover is darling, and I love how lightweight the material is. An added plue: the gingham fabric detail on the v-neck is a great way to draw eyes away from the horizontal lines. I can’t wait to wear this top!
Buttoned Denim Skirt
Denim skirts are coming back, but finding the right denim skirt has been such a struggle. I rarely wear skirts, so I wanted to find one that had a little bit of elastic for fertility medicine bloat (it’s a thing!). I found this skirt on the “Found & Collected” rack, where Anthropologie selects a few clothing pieces from smaller designers and sells a very limited stock; each store has a unique rack, so you won’t find the same item at every store!
High-Low Empire Buttondown
This white buttondown is from the same “Found & Collected” rack, and I loved the mixed media feel to it. The top of the blouse is cotton, while the bottom is a chiffon. It’s long in the front, longer in the back, and this is something that I’ll be wearing constantly!
Tulle Midi Skirt
I finally found a tulle skirt that doesn’t make me feel like a marshmallow with tons of poofy petticoat layers, and it’s a great midi length. I think this will be making an appearance or two on the blog very soon!
Suzani Maxi Dress
THIS. DRESS. As I was at the register checking out, I saw this gorgeous dress being put on the “Found & Collected” rack, and I had to see what size it was. I grabbed it, saw it was in my size (!!!) and ran to the fitting room. The dress was pricey, so I sent a few pictures of it to Peter to see what he thought of it. I absolutely loved it, and all of the Anthropologie employees loved it too. Peter approved, so I purchased it too. Hello birthday dress!
