Weekend Roundup: falling hard for FALL

Oct 08

Happy Monday! This weekend was a whirlwind, and was filled with everything fall- we celebrated Halloween a little bit early at our favorite place, and snuggled next to pumpkins at a darling pumpkin patch!

On Friday we went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and we had the best time! We did another family costume this year and went as a “dietitian’s dream diet”: a fruit, a vegetable, and a healthy fat with a token dietitian! We ate Halloween treats, went on rides, and thoroughly enjoyed late-night Magic Kingdom all dressed up. I’ll be sharing more about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party later this week!

Tired from Mickey’s Halloween Party the night before, we slept in on Saturday and ventured to our first pumpkin patch in Florida! Yes, this is the first year we’ve been to a pumpkin patch in the three fall seasons we’ve been here (oops!) and the patch we chose was so cute. Hayrides, carnival-style games, and of course pumpkins were at the patch at Club Lake Plantation in Apopka, Florida. I’ll be sharing more photos and details about our pumpkin patch visit tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Sunday morning was spent at Barnie’s in Winter Park for brunch (where else would we be?!), and the afternoon was filled with cleaning and decluttering the house, which was much needed. I don’t have any “before” photos because that’d be scary, but I will be sharing updated photos of our place soon!

Coming soon to the blog, you’ll see a fall-inspired outfit at Disney with a review of the candy corn milkshake (warning: it’s sweeeeeet!), and a spotlight on my favorite coffee place- you guessed it, Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen in Winter Park! I’m also going to start a series on photography and how-to’s. After doing an Instagram Live video last week I feel like I have an idea of what you’re looking for, but if you have a question please leave it as a comment below. I’ll be sure to include it!

Meet Faison

Hi there! I’m Faison, (fay-sen) and I’m the gal behind Faison Anne. I’m a wife and mother living in sunny Orlando, Florida. Photography is my passion (you’ll see a lot of it here!) and so is a good cappuccino. Here you’ll find bits about wrangling a preschooler and a toddler, Walt Disney World tips and tricks, photography hacks, and maybe even a recipe or two. Stick around- I’m so happy you’re here!
