Weekend Roundup: Mickey’s Not So Scary, Vera Bradley Event, and Being Kids with Fisher-Price

Happy Monday friends! Whewwww… this weekend was jam-packed with fun and exciting things! We started our weekend with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney on Friday night, then Saturday morning I hosted an event with the Vera Bradley store in the Mall at Millenia here in Orlando, and on Sunday we played like kids at the “Let’s Be Kids!” event hosted by Fisher Price. We had a blast this weekend, but I’ll be honest, I’m ready for a bit of a calm(er) week!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Friday night we donned our best Disney snack outfit and trick-or-treated around Magic Kingdom as the Disney Dining Plan! Our slogan? “Weiss fam lookin’ like a SNACK (credit)”, although no tagline was needed as we walked around the Park- we had Cast Members pointing and smiling at our costumes! In fact, our family costume was so loved that we were featured on the DisneyFoodBlog and an entire article was written about us– PINCH ME! These snack credits had a wonderful time with our friends Taylor and Beth Friday evening, until Walter came down with a horrible stomach ache. After a quick trip to the First Aid station, we realized we needed to take Walter home before 9pm. Luckily, Guest Relations was so accomodating and reissued our Party tickets for this upcoming Friday so we can enjoy an entire Not So Scary party. Disney, we are so grateful and can’t wait for the Party this Friday!

Celebrating Fall Fashion with Vera BradleyVera Bradley Millenia-1248

Saturday morning I hosted an event with Vera Bradley and KeKe Van B. at the Vera Bradley store in the Mall at Millenia, and the three of us girls had the best time! Tara (center) was so gracious to have us at the sip-and-shop, and I loved getting to play with all of the new patterns and collections (Performance Twill is my new favorite!). Everyone was sparkled by KeKe Van B. (right) with fairy hair, including Walter! We all had a great morning together, and I can’t wait to share more about this fun event later this week!

Saturday afternoon I met Peter, Kelsey (our bonus child for the weekend) and the kids at Disney after the Vera Bradley event and we made our way to EPCOT to walk around for good food and ride some attractions. We walked the entire World Showcase (not easy for us with the kids!), rode Spaceship Earth and got warm hugs from our friend Anna in her Royal Summerhaus. Eloise LOVED her, and this hug was one of only a handful that have happened with any character at Disney. This. Was. HUGE. Ouisie also enjoyed a Mickey pretzel in the grass while we waited for everyone to ride Mission Space, and we all boogied (Kelsey, pictured) with Clarabelle Cow at the EPCOT DJ set. We all had so much fun!

Let’s Be Kids! with Fisher-PriceFisher Price-1298

The Weiss fam was invited to the Let’s Be Kids! event hosted by Fisher-Price at Walmart here in Orlando, and trust me, we were all kids on Sunday! There was a bounce house with a lava floor (Walter’s favorite), a blow-up corn maze, a PowerWheels race course, and TOYS! I can’t wait to share more about our fun afternoon with Fisher-Price later this week, but for now, enjoy this photo of me living my best life on the adult-sized Bounce and Spin Puppy 🙂

This weekend was fun-filled, and I can’t wait to share more about the Vera Bradley fall fashion event (along with my favorite new Vera Bradley products) and our afternoon with Fisher-Price! Also this week on the blog, you’ll get a sneak peek at the newest Vera Bradley x Disney print that’s launching this Thursday! You won’t want to miss it, it’s my favorite one so far!
